Created as a fitting tribute to both the legendary vessel described in Homer's epic poem and the authenticity Christopher Nolan has so ambitiously pursued in his new film, this impressive model kit is crafted from premium solid wood using traditional model-shipbuilding techniques.

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is a landmark in cinematic storytelling, bringing Homer's 3,000-year-old epic to the screen through some of the most ambitious filmmaking ever attempted.
Determined to immerse audiences in the world of Odysseus as never before, Nolan has become the first filmmaker in history to shoot an entire feature film using IMAX film cameras. Rather than relying on computer-generated imagery, he championed practical craftsmanship at every opportunity, using real ships sailing on the open sea. Even the film's score was created by blending ancient Greek instruments with unconventional sounds to evoke a world that feels timeless and entirely original.
Inspired by the same philosophy, our museum-quality wooden model kit faithfully recreates the ship from the film. Developed in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences and Christopher Nolan, it is crafted from precision laser-cut timber and premium materials, capturing the authenticity and artistry that define this extraordinary production.
Just as Nolan chose traditional craftsmanship to bring Homer's epic to life, this exceptional model has been designed to honour that vision. The result is a beautifully crafted heirloom that celebrates one of the greatest stories ever told and one of the most extraordinary achievements in modern filmmaking.

Traditional Craftsmanship
A traditional modeling technique
The ship that carried Odysseus was built using a robust timber framework, with each plank carefully fastened to a series of ribs to create a strong yet flexible hull. Our model has been designed to honour those same traditional shipbuilding principles.
Rather than relying on a solid core, the hull is constructed around an intricate framework of individually assembled ribs, faithfully recreating the internal structure of a full-sized wooden vessel. Precision laser-cut components and premium-quality timber combine to create a remarkably authentic build, while the wood's natural beauty gives the finished model warmth and character.
Each hull plank is individually fitted to the framework and secured using miniature pins, just as planks would have been fastened to the frames of the original ship. The result is an immensely satisfying building experience and a beautifully authentic hull with the character of a true wooden vessel.
Completing the model is Odysseus' distinctive red sail, hand sewn from cotton and rigged to the yard using an authentic arrangement inspired by ancient Greek seamanship. Every stage of the model's build reflects the craftsmanship and attention to detail that make it a fitting tribute to Christopher Nolan's extraordinary vision.
From the first frame to the final length of rigging, building the model is an experience to be enjoyed.
